LIABILITY WAIVER

Having booked a Motivation to Move Video session with Steven Washington (TEACHER), I understand that self-acupressure massage and basic Qigong include physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular tension.

A Motivation to Move Video session with Steven Washington includes, but is not limited to, participation in breathing techniques, self-massage and performing various Qigong movements and postures. These movements and postures are designed to exercise every part of the body - stretching and toning muscles and joints, the spine and the entire skeletal system, and stretching to increase flexibility. They also work on the internal organs, glands and nerves.

As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. Although the movements and postures that will be used are gentle and performed under the watchful eye of a professional teacher with years of experience, the act of making an appointment and paying for a session(s) with Steven Washington acknowledges that I understand and accept the risk and hereby release Steven Washington from any and all liability, negligence or other claims arising from or in any way connected with my participation in a session. I affirm that I alone am responsible to decide whether to perform these practices. I hereby agree to irrevocably release and waive any claims that I have now or hereafter may have against Steven Washington.

If I experience any pain or discomfort, I will listen to my body, adjust the posture and ask for guidance. I will respect my body's limitations and I trust that in time and with practice, I will become stronger and more flexible. None of the practices used during the sessions are a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment.

By making an appointment and buying a session(s), I further acknowledge that I shall not now or at any time in the future bring any legal action against Steven Washington and that this waiver is binding on me, my heirs, my spouse, my children, my legal representatives, my successors and my assigns. My making an appointment and buying a session(s) verifies that I am physically fit enough to participate in a Motivation to Move session.
